At its heart, LUCO (Level Up your Creative Output) is about finding new ways to explore art, creativity, and live a happier and more satisfied life.
The philosophy came from both my personal journey with creativity as well as a response to the deluge of content pushing the very worst parts of productivity and selling the snake oil to unsuspecting people.
There have been trends for years online (and decades offline) about boosting your productivity to shove as much work as you can into a period of time, with the reward supposedly that you free up the rest of your life for the things you want to do. And sure, getting more things done is a really simple concept that we can all agree with at its base level.
The problem with this trend and popular culture in general is that we've been forced to maximize our labor and commodify our hobbies, cram more into a smaller time not for the benefit of more time outside of work, but to simply survive and keep up with the oversized loads we consider normal today.
LUCO exists as the antithesis - how can you enrich your life with more creativity, things that move and change people, and find and connect with other people. A big part of the community aspect being built at LUCO Studios is based on the book "Show Your Work" by Austin Kleon and the concept of a scenius. We value too much individual success today in place of the growth of a community of artists, sharing what we find gives us energy, and inspirations that might alter someone's life completely.
TL;DR?
LUCO is about finding ways to be creative, new art forms that excite you, connecting with other artists, and sharing your work. We're always connecting on Discord and sharing each other's music, art, ideas, and more together, and there's always room for more.
